Hi everyone! My name is Jannik and I’m interested in history of Europe. I live in Leipzig and I would love to share my knowledge with you. I’m cycling, travelling around the Europe, writing blog… I hope you will share my passion and I will inspire you to travel. Especially to Leipzig!
For me, visiting places, where history has left its marks, is the most exciting way for travelling. Each monument or exhibition I visit, tells me some beautiful, frightening, heroic or sad story – I discover it with my mouth open and put every piece of the history together, one by one.
What I like the most about that, is that it always gives me some personal lesson and it’s very thought-provoking. For example, visiting place like Auschwitz Museum, made me think a lot about myself and had a prominent impact on my whole life.
Why I want to share my experiences with you? First of all, for giving an inspiration to travel – sometimes you need an incentive to do something. I’m trying to describe the best advantages of the travels I had made and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as me. In fact, I started to travel only when my friend took me (almost by force) on a trip to France few years ago. I truly didn’t want to go but only after we got through the beautiful city of Lyon, I changed my mind. It was nearly like an eureka effect – travelling is the best thing in the world.
